Jonathan Williamson & Lauren Riley Wedding Album |
My interest in photography started before I realized it was an interest. Even as a child, I wanted to capture the moments as they passed, whether I was on a cross country or transocean trip with my grandparents or was snapping shots of friends at school. I'd seek out things to photograph to finish a roll quicker, rush to Wal-Mart and then eagerly await the three day return. From there, I took courses in college, picked up lessons from the newspaper and picked the minds of each photographer I encountered. However, the best education has been in the field, learning what does and does not work. Wedding photography is my specialty, although I will capture anything you want me to. Because I shot with a digital Canon, I can literally take thousands and thousands of photos at your event for the same cost as five. Isn't that liberate the creativity? Genius has always spawned from experiment. I do, also, shoot a lot of the traditional wedding photographs, like the one of your grandparents when they said "I Do" 50 years ago. As you can see from my site here and at myspace.com/shondalittlephotography, I blend the traditional with the contemporary. Although that may actually be more work for me in the end, it is the total benefit to brides and grooms who, in turn, receive a greater variety of priceless photographs to choose from. Oh, and I almost forgot, I give co-ownership of the photographs with you. What does that mean? While I keep access to use your beautiful face in my ads and on my sites, you don't have to pay outrageous price per print fees to print off photographs you already paid me to shoot. Because I also add an element of photojournalism to your special day, documenting all the little details you labored for to make your day YOURS, you would miss out on so many important photos if you were forced to pay a ridicules price for each one. To me, its the right thing to do. To me, it is YOUR day. You should own all of it.
